Liz , Chair of Friends Of James Peacock and Kath, Chair of Friends of St Peter’s said: “Huge thanks are extended to everyone at the two village schools who collected 5p coins during the recent summer holidays as part of the inter schools’ “5p Challenge”.
Last year, James Peacock collected the most coins and won the inaugural 5p Challenge. This year, St Peter’s have won the honour, collecting £199.25 versus James Peacock’s £168.70.
We’d like to express our particular thanks to Evans Pharmacy and Perkins Hardware, who put out collection pots in-store so their customers could contribute to the challenge. All the monies collected have been shared equally between the two schools.”
