Ruddington & District Choral Society are coming together with the Ruddington Chamber Ensemble to welcome Christmas with a feast of glorious festive music! Taking place at St Peter’s Church at 7:30pm on Saturday 9th December, the concert will feature some of the greatest baroque choral and orchestral Christmas music ever written.
The programme is sure to appeal to everyone as it recalls the great Christmas story. Included will be two of Bach’s greatest choral works for Advent and Christmas, Sleepers, Wake and the Magnificat, together with orchestral offerings from Handel’s
Messiah, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Corelli’s Christmas Concerto.
This magnificent music will not only fill the audience with seasonal spirit, but also provide a rich and calming reminder of the real message of Christmas in these busy and frenetic times. The programme is a treasure trove of dazzling baroque Christmas musical gems performed by two of the best- known musical groups in Nottinghamshire – it shouldn’t be missed!
