Did you know that Rushcliffe is the best place to live outside the south of England? Our area was the top-rated of just six non southern boroughs to make the top 50 in a recent quality of life survey. And overall, Rushcliffe achieved an impressive 22nd place out of the 405 local authorities in England.
The survey, carried out by Halifax, looked at a number of areas including residents’ health and life exectancy, employment, crime rates, weather and even good broadband internet access.
The top of the league table is dominated by local authorities in London and the south east, so it was great to see Rushcliffe flying the flag for the East Midlands at number 22. (By Faye Stenson)
