Ruddington held its second Summer Fayre on Saturday 19 August, on our Village Green. We are so lucky in Ruddington to have and be able to use this open space in the centre of our village! Despite the very changeable and somewhat frustrating weather on the day, everything went to plan with the event.
Families gathered to enjoy the music, live singing, fairground rides, the talking parrots and the Punch and Judy show. And if that wasn’t enough, we had a bar serving a range of drinks, plus food vendors selling delicious Indian food, burgers and even bags of freshly made doughnuts.
Zoe’s Party Animals received plenty of interest, with people holding snakes, spiders and all kinds of strange things. Cuddly giant rabbits were also on hand for those of a more squeamish disposition!
We had many stalls set out on The Green, selling a wide variety of products from knitted animals to some of the most delicious cakes and sweet treats. The Summer Fayre was very well attended and the Events Committee would like to thank everyone who came along, took part or just helped us out on the day.
Planning for the Christmas Market on Saturday 2 December is now underway. You can keep up with the latest developments, or find out how to book a stall, at the Ruddington Events Facebook page.
