Ruddington’s Spiritualist Church, which meets weekly in the former Methodist Chapel at the Framework Knitters Museum on Chapel Street, are holding a fundraising evening of mediumship in support of the museum. The event will take place on Thursday 15th August at 7:30pm.
Led by Spiritualist Minister and medium, Reverend Pam Owen, the evening will involve a talk about mediumship followed by a demonstration from Pam and her fellow medium, Robert Brown. The evening will conclude with a question and answer session with the audience.
Says Pam: “If you’ve ever wondered what spiritualism and mediumship are all about, now’s your chance to find out. It’s set to be a fun, relaxing evening in an ideal venue. I’ve personally carried out a reading in the former Chapel and have heard doors opening and closing which were bricked up years ago, so it certainly has atmosphere!
“Having said that, please don’t come along expecting any phenomena to take place – we’re simply looking to offer a fun and informative event that will pique your interest in mediumship.”
Tickets for the evening cost £8 and are available from the museum – just call in during normal opening hours, call 0115 984 6914 or email office@frameworkknittersmuseum.org.uk. Refreshments are included in the ticket price.
There’ll also be a raffle to raise further funds for the museum. The monies raised will be put towards a much-needed new boiler for the Chapel and the Heritage Lottery-funded redevelopment project that the museum launched earlier in the year (see separate article).
