Parish Council Chairman Peter McGowan, with Ernie and Doreen Gadsby, visited Grenay on November 11th where Peter laid the Parish wreath at the extensive British cemetery for the dead of the First World War.
He also laid flowers at the town’s war memorial and the memorial to World War 2 resistance fighters.
A visit to the computer department of the local school was organised to view the Ruddington table emblazoned with our village’s coat of arms. The trip was rounded off by a visit to the Louvre museum in nearby Lens. This recently opened museum is an outpost of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
