James Peacock Infant & Nursery School held their very first art gallery event on Tuesday 12th February. Every child from Nursery to Year 2 produced an amazing piece of art with an animal theme. There were marbled dinosaurs, collaged mini-beasts, camouflaged pastel chameleons and a range of aboriginal animals.
All the artwork was then sent off to be professionally framed and parents and carers were invited to see the work displayed in the school hall and purchase both originals and copies. The children were so proud to see their artwork displayed and loved showing the adults around!
With over two thirds of the creations sold, the funds raised have been split between the Mustard Seed Project and the Friends of James Peacock School. Sally Squires, from the The Mustard Seed Project, thanked parents and carers for their support and said the money raised will provide a half term’s supply of porridge for the Tisai children in Uganda.
