On Saturday 21st May, Artex Ltd on Pasture Lane held a Community Day, the first they had ever done.
I’ve lived in the village for years and Artex has always been “that business that the blue trucks go to,” so it was great for them to literally open their doors for visitors to find out more about them.
It was a very well organised hive of activity with information stands, fun games, a bouncy castle, tours of the plant, refreshments and even the opportunity to sit in an eco truck. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Comments posted to the Ruddington Fun Facebook page praised the event:
“It was great. My kids of different ages had a great time. They loved to play games, go on the bouncy castle, get in an Artex truck, delicious food, plenty of drinks and of course the ice cream van was a big hit! It was a great surprise – all for free!!! We got a lot of amazing gifts and prizes. We had a great tour and scavenger hunt. We found out a lot of interesting information about this amazing company just on our doorstep. Thank you very much Artex for a great day out”
“We had a fabulous time. The staff all seem so happy and were enthusiastic. It was brilliant to hear about all the work they’re doing to become carbon neutral”
Well done to the whole team at Artex for inviting the Ruddington community, and beyond, to such an informative, fun filled event.
