Recently, I asked for any empty blister packs, (packs where each tablet is individually pushed out of a foil or plastic strip), from either prescription or over the counter medication, to be donated.
You responded brilliantly, leaving lots of packs at St Peter’s Rooms or giving them to me personally.
The organisation in Keyworth that has a contact through which these empty packs can be recycled, extends a HUGE thanks.
I’ve been asked why the collection box in the hall of St Peter’s Rooms isn’t bigger. The reason is that the table it’s on is used by various activities for registration purposes.
The staff at the Parish Council are supporting the blister packs initiative by very kindly emptying the box regularly, and storing the empty packs in the office, for which I thank them.
You’re still invited to drop packs into the collection box in the entrance hall at St Peter’s Rooms between Monday and Friday, 9am to 12:30pm.
Thank you again.
