Last year several conifers were cut down in the Vicarage Lane park area at the request of local residents which resulted in patches of bare earth. Now these areas are a riot of colour and all thanks to a group of pupils from James Peacock Infant & Nursery School who spent time planting flowers. In the autumn, bulbs will be planted to further enhance this area as we attempt to bring more flowers to the public areas of the village.
