Village residents will be treated to two Bonfire Night events in Ruddington this year, with the first taking place on the night itself at
The White Horse on Church Street. The pub will be hosting a fireworks display on Thursday 5 November from 6pm, complete with mushy peas and a winter BBQ. Everyone is welcome, but please note that the pub’s car park will be closed so please park considerately if you’re planning to drive to the event.
Saturday 7 November will see the return of GCRN’s popular Firework Spectacular at the Heritage Centre on Mere Way, next to Rushcliffe Country Park. Gates open at 5:30pm, with the fireworks display timed to start at 7:30pm.
With a variety of attractions including a live band, funfair, hot food, a licensed bar and a chocolate fountain, there’s something for all the family. The miniature railway will also be in operation, whilst a connecting heritage train service will transport visitors wishing to travel from Rushcliffe Halt.
Please note that family tickets are only available in advance and can be purchased from the GCRN Gift Shop when open. You can also buy adult and child tickets in advance and on the door. For more information, please visit www.gcrn.co.uk or call 0115 940 5705.
