The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is carrying out an electoral review of Rushcliffe Borough Council. The aim of the review is to recommend ward boundaries that mean each Councillor represents approximately the same number of voters.
The Commission also aims to ensure that the ward boundaries reflect the interests and identities of local communities, as well as promoting effective local government.
To achieve these aims, the ward boundaries across Rushcliffe need to be redrawn. From 11 May 2021 to 19 July 2021, the Commission is accepting opinions and comments (submissions) from the public on where you believe ward boundaries should be in Rushcliffe Borough Council.
The Commission recommends that Rushcliffe Borough Council should have 44 councillors in the future. This is no change from the current number of councillors.
The Commission now needs information from people and groups across Rushcliffe to help it to produce new ward boundaries to accommodate 44 councillors.
