As reported in the January 2017 edition of the Village Newsletter, the Parish Council is having some new boundary signs made which will be placed at each of the 5 road entrances to the village. Designed by local graphic design agency, WigWag, the signs will brand Ruddington as ‘The Museums Village’ (an “s” has been added to the design further to the original artwork being produced as pictured).
For various reasons, the signs have taken a little longer to manufacture than expected. However, we are hoping to have them delivered by the first week in July and installation has been provisionally been booked for week commencing 17 July.
A sign will be installed at each of the following locations: Loughborough Road north (opposite Ashworth Avenue), Loughborough Road south (just before the roundabout), Wilford Road (opposite Sellor’s Playing Field), Clifton Lane (by the bridge over the brook) and Flawforth Lane (near the junction with Loughborough Road).
At the time of writing, two of the signs had been completed and we think they look fantastic! We hope you’ll agree, and also share our view that they they’ll make an eye-catching addition to our village, that celebrates Ruddington’s unique culture and heritage.
