Spring is in the air (almost) and as people get out and about more, Rushcliffe Country Park is stepping up its programme of events. Activities in March include the Rushcliffe 5k and 2k Fun Run on Sunday 5th, Rushcliffe School Sport Partnership Cross Country on Tuesday 7th and the Stroke Association Resolution Run (5k or 10k) on Sunday 19th.
If that all sounds like too much hard work, why not enjoy tea and cake provided by 4th Keyworth Guides Charity Café at the Visitor Centre on Sunday 12th? MACS, a charity that supports children born without eyes or with undeveloped eyes, is also holding a Charity Teas event at the Visitor Centre on Sunday 26th. Both events start at 9am.
As well as these activities, all the regular things that take place at the Country Park will also be running. These include the weekly parkrun and Junior parkrun on Saturdays, the Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park Café on Sundays 5th and 19th, and ‘Linger by the Lake’ Coffee Morning on Wednesday 15th. There’s also the monthly Wildlife Watch Groupon Saturday 11th, and weekly BuggyFit and Kettlercise classes on Mondays and Tuesdays respectively.
In short, there’s something for everyone, so get yourself off the sofa and enjoy the fresh air! You’ll find more details of all these events at www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/rushcliffecountrypark.
