From Monday 7th to Friday 11th January, you’re invited to donate non-perishable food and clothes donations to the local homeless charity, The Friary.
If you put your items in a bag and place them on top of either your grey or blue bin, the Rushcliffe Borough Council refuse collection teams will collect them during their usual rounds.
The charity would particularly welcome donations of bottled water, cartons of juice, tea, coffee, crisps, cereal bars, biscuits and tins of soup, fish, fruit and custard.
Warm winter accessories are also always appreciated, such as hats, scarves, gloves and socks.
Last year this initiative collected 10 tonnes of goods that went directly to those in need.
