Ruddington’s popular Christmas Fayre will make a welcome return to our village on Saturday 1st December. Taking place from 12 noon to 5pm, the event will boast a wide range of stalls offering delicious seasonal food and drink, Christmas gifts and decorations, and much more!
As usual, the High Street will be closed to traffic to make way for outdoor stalls, with additional stalls set up in the marquee area at The White Horse Inn on Church Street. Indoor stalls will be set up in St Peter’s Church and St Peter’s Rooms.
In the event of bad weather, some of the outdoor stalls will relocate to The Hermitage on Wilford Road. The Methodist Church on Church Street will also be taking part and hosting its own indoor stalls. In addition to stalls, there’ll be kids’ activities in St Peter’s Church, choirs singing and bell-ringing taking place.
As always, Santa will be on hand with presents for the children and the event will culminate in a tree-lighting ceremony in St Peter’s Churchyard, followed by festive carol-singing.
A new “treasure hunt” to symbolise what we really want for Christmas, will be held in St Peter’s Church grounds, and the Framework Knitters Museum on Chapel Street will be holding their popular “A Dickensian Christmas” event, offering stalls, refreshments and even more activities for all the family. Visit their website for more details.
Don’t forget that Ruddington Loyalty Cards will be available to all residents and visitors that haven’t yet picked theirs up from shops in the village, and the retailers at the Fayre will be getting into the “Christmas Goodwill to All” mood with their brand new December offers.
Stalls have been booked quickly this year and there is limited availability remaining on the High Street and at the White Horse Inn on Church Street, please email office@ruddingtonparishcouncil.gov.uk or call into the Parish Council office.
