f you’re looking for a catering company with a difference, then Ruddington resident Jennifer Walker has a real treat for you.
She and her husband Mike have recently set up the innovative Split Screen Coffee Company, serving hot drinks and freshly made snacks from a converted VW camper van.
“I worked as a teacher until earlier this year when I decided I wanted a complete change of career,” says Jennifer, who’s lived in the village for seven years. “We did some research and came up with the idea for the van. It’s been huge fun so far and we’re really enjoying ourselves.”
The couple have been busy attending events and festivals, weddings and birthdays and will be at the GCRN fireworks display serving up seasonal treats and snacks.
“We pride ourselves on using seasonal, freshly grown and locally sourced ingredients for all our food,” adds Jennifer. “We’re also looking into getting a licence to serve alcohol so will be able to extend our offering.”
