Singing is “Delightful to nature and good to preserve the health,” or so said the great English composer, William Byrd, over 400 years ago. He wasn’t wrong and you can enjoy all the many benefits of singing by joining the Ruddington & District Choral Society (RDCS)!
Singing of any kind, but especially singing with others, has been proved to both make people feel better and to actually do them good; it’s uplifting and enriches your life. It brings joy, exhilaration and inspiration. It also brings you into contact with other like-minded people while you enjoy creating and performing some of the world’s greatest music. Put simply, it makes you feel good!
The RDCS has been a leading light in Nottinghamshire’s musical life for over 50 years and usually performs three concerts each year with weekly rehearsals. We’re currently accepting new members, so whether you’re new to singing and want to give it a try, or are an experienced soprano, alto, tenor or bass, we’d love you to join us. No auditions are necessary.
Rehearsals are held each Monday from 7:15pm to 9:15pm at St Peter’s Junior School, beginning in September for the autumn term. For more details, please call 0115 921 1451, email enquiries@ruddingtonchoral.com or visit www.ruddingtonchoral.com.
