Are you fed up with the speed that cars are travelling through and around our village?
The Parish Council is looking for a small team of volunteers (around 6 to 12 people) to help make our roads safer. If you think you can help, or have any questions, please email email@example.com or call us on 0115 914 6660.
How it works
After some initial training by the Police on what to do and how the equipment works, it’s hoped that one Community Speedwatch session can take place each month.
Each session is about an hour long and involves a team of three volunteers, so we think roughly 6 hours of time will be needed from each volunteer over a year. That’s a small commitment, but could help make a big difference to road safety in our community.
Being a volunteer member of Community Speedwatch is an effective and important way for residents to help make our village safer.
