Bowls
Ruddington Lawn Bowls Club was formed in 1924 to enable the residents of Ruddington and the local area to play Lawn Bowls. Since 1932 the club has played on the green which is situated behind the cricket pavilion in Elms Park on Loughborough Road. New players are always welcome. Cricket
Ruddington Cricket Club was established in 1850. The Club plays at Elms Park and currently runs 3 adult teams and several youth teams who compete in various local leagues. Football – Ruddington Village FC (seniors)
Ruddington Village FC was formed in 1986 and is an FA Charter Standard Community Club – the highest award for an amateur football club. The Club, which plays at Elms Park, has men’s teams covering a broad range of leagues. There are levels of football to suit most ability levels. Football – Ruddington Village FC Colts (juniors)
The Colts have several junior teams with players aged from 7 to under 18s. The Colts’ official home is Jubilee Playing Fields, but they also play at Elms Park. 11am to 12 noon at Jubilee Playing Fields every Saturday. First session FREE for new players then £5 per session. Run by Ruddington Village FC in association with Score Football Coaching.

Football – Fanzines United
Fanzines United is a football club for male adults. Teams play on Sunday mornings in the East Midlands Public Authorities League. The Club’s home ground is at Elms Park, although training takes place at Nottingham Football Centre on Boundary Road in West Bridgford. Golf
Ruddington Grange Golf Club on Wilford Road has an 18 hole, par 72 course. The Club has a professional shop and Clubhouse. Various membership options are available for men and ladies on an equal footing. There is an annual programme of Open Competitions and golf lessons are also available. Karate
Ruddington Shotokan Karate Club has been established for over 30 years. The Club has developed methods that are close to the traditional Japanese way, with strict discipline to encourage a good training atmosphere. Training is tailored to age and ability, with no martial arts experience required. Classes take place at the Village Hall on Wilford Road. Sports centres
Ruddington doesn’t have its own sports centre. The nearest one is Rushcliffe Arena on Rugby Road in West Bridgford, easily reached by car or a short journey on the NCT 10 bus which stops outside. The Arena has been refurbished and expanded, reopening in January 2017. Facilities include a 25m main pool, a beach-themed fun pool, a six-lane indoor bowls rink, sports hall, squash courts and a state-of-the-art health and fitness suite.
