An additional COVID-19 vaccine dose is now available for adults aged 75 years and over, residents in a care home for older adults, and individuals aged five years and over who are immunosuppressed.
Appointments are being offered between April and June 2023, with those at highest risk being called first. You’ll normally be invited to have a vaccine around six months after your last dose, but you can have it from three months afterwards.
If you’re turning 75 between April and June, you don’t need wait for your birthday to book in.
People at higher risk of severe COVID-19 are expected to be offered a further booster in autumn 2023, in preparation for next winter.
