Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is joining the fourth national Marie Curie Day of Reflection on Sunday 3rd March, to remember all those in the Borough who passed away during the COVID pandemic.
Anyone is welcome to visit RBC’s COVID memorial in Bridgford Park in West Bridgford on the day, or at any time, to take a moment and remember anyone affected by its impacts.
The steel obelisk memorial in the park was installed in 2022 and symbolises the NHS workers, carers and key workers who were there for those in need. It carries the inscription:
Remembering all those affected by COVID-19
This memorial commemorates those in Rushcliffe who lost their lives during the pandemic and the incredible efforts of all those who gave so much helping others.
Forever in our thoughts and prayers.
For any questions on the reflection day please email media@rushcliffe.gov.uk.
