If so, you’ll be interested to know about a new programme of special support sessions for carers of people with dementia. These are being run by the Radford Care Group, a charity which runs a day care centre for older people in Nottingham.
The programme has been carefully planned to provide a range of benefits, such as improving carers’ understanding of dementia, providing mutual and emotional support, increasing confidence and reducing stress.
The group sessions will be taking place throughout the year and at various venues, with some in the Rushcliffe area. The Radford Care Group can help with transport and will look after the person with dementia whilst their carer attends the programme.
To find out more, please contact Beverley Pearson on 0115 978 6133 or visit www.radfordcaregroup.org.uk. Beverley would be pleased to talk to any groups of carers interested in finding out more about the programme, and what the Radford Care Group do.
