…that’s the name of Ruddington’s latest new business which was launched on the 6th of September.
It takes over the former “Capitol Video”/”High Spirits” premises at 24B High Street – reopening as an off license and general convenience store. The shop has undergone a refurbishment during its closure and has a wider range of goods than its predecessor.
Of particular note are its discounted top brand beers and wines, many of which are currently the cheapest in Ruddington. These include 23 different types of bottled ales. There’s a good stock of general provisions including milk, other grocery items and greeting cards – and daily newspapers will be available soon.
It’s run by husband and wife team Kevin and Lorraine Leame and is co-owned by Philip Ward – who has a similar business in Clifton and is also Lorraine’s brother! Kevin has a background in financial services but is looking forward to his change of career.
“We’ve had a great reaction from villagers so far”
says Kevin “and we hope everyone will come in to see what we’ve got and our competitive prices. And we’re always open to suggestions for new lines which we don’t currently stock.”
“Drinks & More” is open 7 days a week from 8am to 10pm.
