The Hermitage Preschool is extending its hours from September 2017, in line with increased national childcare offerings to parents.
The new hours will be a morning session of 9am to 12 noon and an afternoon session of 1-4pm. There will also be a breakfast club from 8am to 9am and a lunch club from 12 noon to 1pm, where the children will be provided with a healthy breakfast and lunch (replacing the current requirement to bring a packed lunch).
‘As new government funding is increasing to 30 hours for many working parents, we hope that by being able to offer these extended hours we can provide good-quality local childcare which is accessible to most parents in the village,’ says committee co-chair Di Hennessey.
The Preschool is also having a big celebration this year, marking its 50th birthday. They’re holding events throughout the year, including a big Family Fun day on 8 July.
Happy birthday Hermitage!
