Residents and commuters in Ruddington will see some more disruptions as a major roadworks project is set to begin on Flawforth Lane, starting from Monday 29th July 2024.
The project, managed by Newline Civils on behalf of Benchmark Property, will see the road closed between the junctions with A60 Loughborough Road and Flawforth Avenue until Friday 20th September 2024.
Temporary prohibitions
From 07:30 hours on Monday 29th July 2024 until 17:30 hours on Friday 20th September 2024 inclusive. (The entire scheme to take place from May to November 2024).
Temporary road closure
This is part of a wider scheme also involving multiway signals. A separate signals bulletin hasn’t been provided yet by local councils and Via.
Background
This closure is part of an extensive scheme scheduled to run from May to November 2024, focusing on junction improvements and traffic signal refurbishment. The roadworks are expected to impact local traffic heavily and there’ll be a diversion via Flawforth Lane, the A52 and the A60.
The construction efforts will aim to enhance traffic flow and safety in the area by addressing long-standing issues with the current infrastructure.
