A new minor ailment scheme was introduced at Evans Pharmacy in Ruddington on 15th January, initially on a six month trial basis. Patients registered with Ruddington Medical Centre and Church House surgeries who are exempt from NHS prescription charges will be able to access the service.
If you visit the pharmacy with any of the following conditions, you can now be treated using selected remedies free of charge: bites, stings, allergies including hay fever, constipation, diarrhoea, earache, teething, sore throat, vaginal thrush, athlete’s foot, bacterial conjunctivitis, haemorrhoids, threadworms, warts and verrucae. You can be seen in private to receive advice on request. For further information, please visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Evansfamilypharmacy.
If this scheme proves successful then it will be rolled out to other pharmacies in other parts of Rushcliffe. So please come to your pharmacy first for free advice and treatments.
