We’re delighted to let you know that, with thanks to some additional Lottery funding, we’ve been able to purchase a defibrillator to go outside the front of the school.
This defibrillator will be accessible 24 hours a day to the whole community. This is an amazing addition to have, not only to the school but also the wider community, and great to have on this side of the village.
Ruddington is a busy place, so having more 24 hour defibrillators spread around the village is really important.
If a defibrillator is used within the first minute, the survival rate can be as high as 90%. Within three to five minutes, the likelihood of survival is 74% – showing that having a defibrillator close by really makes all the difference.
The other 24 hour defibrillators are located at Elms Park, Brookside Road, outside St Peter’s Rooms and on Ashworth Avenue.
