Here at GCRN, we’re re looking forward to our big reunification weekend on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April. Working closely with our friends at the GCR in Loughborough, the event is set to showcase one of the biggest ever projects in rail preservation.
Trains will be running from Ruddington to just outside Loughborough Brush works, and from Loughborough to Leicester. A fleet of heritage buses will connect both railways for an 18-mile transport heritage experience.
The event will demonstrate the potential of a unified Great Central to be an unparalleled living museum, with special exhibits and tours from experts giving you the opportunity to find out more about the ‘missing link’, and the people bringing it back.
It’s sure to be an exciting two days, and we look forward to seeing you there!
