GREENING RUDDINGTON
On Tuesday 14th July in St. Peter’s Rooms, the Greening Campaign in Ruddington sprung in to action.
Villagers were invited to a public meeting to see how small changes to the way we live can make a big difference and Terena Plowright of the Greening Campaign came along to give us a visual demonstration of what we can do. Terena has supported many communities in their endeavour to making a commitment to energy saving and with her enthusiastic guidance, Ruddington will soon be on its way to becoming a greener village.
Parish Councillor Barbara Breakwell also spoke at the meeting and expressed her thanks to the Parish Council for supporting and encouraging the project. She emphasised that this is a local issue which will –
Save Money & Energy and also reduce Waste
and our Carbon Footprint
During a lively refreshment break, members of the public split into teams and selected “Challenges” which would be used during the launch of the campaign on Saturday 17th October – please make a note in your diary as this is an event not to be missed.
Before the meeting closed, Barbara asked for volunteers to join a committee which would move the project forward and plan the main launch day in October.
