March 27th was Census Day. A census has taken place every 10 years since 1801 with the exception of 1941 (because of World War II). Its purpose is to take a snapshop of the population on one particular day and through a series of questions gather information that will help shape future services and resource allocations. It is totally confidential and each household is required by law to submit a completed form, either by post or on the internet. If you haven’t done yours yet please do so as soon as possible.
