Marissa, Mark, Rupert and Gretel Lambert would like to thank Ruddington for the incredible support they have received during the recent National Heart Month. Two year old Gretel was born with several heart defects and this has meant numerous hospital visits, stays and operations during her short life.
The support and advice the family have been offered by the British Heart Foundation has made the charity close to their hearts, hence their decision to back the charity. Organisations in Ruddington have rallied round and done fundraising activities to raise money to support the “Mending Broken Hearts Appeal” This is studying the incredible zebrafish that can repair their own heart and scientists are trying to unlock their secrets to learn how we can repair ours too.
The Lamberts would like to particularly thank the Hermitage Preschool, James Peacock Nursery and Infants School, St Peter’s Church, Summers at Eleven and all the people who supported their activities.
Marissa said “I really feel connected to the people of Ruddington through their generosity and support. I am overwhelmed by it, as are the British Heart Foundation. We all “THANK YOU”
