On Friday 10th December, Nottinghamshire County Council’s Local Improvement Scheme Team brought celebrations to the High Street following the completion of work on the new block paving. Many of the team were dressed in Victorian costume and residents were entertained by Ruddington & District Choral Society and Ruddington Army Cadet Corps of Drums. Even Santa Claus made an appearance! County Councillor Reg Adair made a short speech and the free raffle prizes included donations from local shops and businesses. Thanks to all local organisations, businesses and shops for making this a festive event despite the rush-hour traffic. There are still raffle prizes to be collected and anyone with the following tickets can phone Jan Pauley on 0115 977 3448 to claim their prize:
18 & 21 (both pink) and 72 (blue).
