Great news! Santa and his sleigh, accompanied by his helpers, will be visiting Ruddington this Christmas on the evenings of Wednesday 11th and Thursday 19th December.
His sleigh will be on the move each day at 5.30pm.
No flying reindeer are available on the planned evenings, so Santa would be grateful if residents would take care when parking vehicles along the proposed route. It won’t be possible for the sleigh to move into roads where manoeuvring it will be difficult or dangerous.
On Wednesday 11th December, we’ll start at the Churchill Drive entrance off Clifton Road. The planned route includes the Churchill Drive Estate, Camelot Street, Woodhouse Gardens, Brookside, Clifford Road, St Mary’s Crescent, Packman Drive and Rufford Road.
On Thursday 19th December, we’ll start outside Ruddington Library. The planned route includes Distillery Street, Western Fields, Rainham Gardens, Musters Road, Barleylands, Moor Lane and Elms Park.
Although Santa hopes to keep to the plans set out, road closures, poor or dangerous driving conditions may result in changes having to be made.
If you hope to support our charity work, please put aside some cash as our volunteer collectors will not be able to accept card payments. A QR code can be requested.
If you’d like to join our band of volunteer helpers, please contact Bob Child at bobchild@ntlworld.com for details.
Thank you from Santa and the Rotary Club of Rushcliffe
