Several buildings and landmarks in our village are celebrating significant anniversaries during 2023.
The library has been on its current site for 60 years, having previously been on the High Street where it was more of a reading room. The War Memorial has been an area to commemorate those lost in conflict for 100 years.
The Village Hall was opened in 1913, so is now 110 years old, and the Methodist Church on the corner of Church Street and Charles Street (pictured) has stood there for 150 years this year.
They all remind us of what a rich history our community has.
