I have lived in Ruddington for 35 years and openly admit when I first saw a house for sale here I had no idea where it was, as I grew up in Bilborough.
Soon after I moved here I realised how unique a community it was. Compared to other communities nearby we have an incredible variety of businesses, shops, amenities and services. I used to leave the village on a daily basis for work but now am around more during the day and can walk to access my daily requirements in the village. I often have to remind myself just how unique that is and not to take it for granted.
Some of the long established village organisations have recently upgraded their signage to remind us and visitors of their presence. They along with all the other local businesses make the place that myself and well over 7,000 people call “home”
