Rushcliffe Country Park is becoming a very popular venue for events of all kinds, bringing extra attractions and activities into the village for residents to enjoy. Here are just a few of the upcoming events you might like to attend or get involved in:
Bark for Life – Sunday 22 May from 10:30am
A sponsored dog walk (5km or 10km), dog-related stalls and games, professional photography and a fun dog show all in aid of Cancer Research UK.
It’s £5 to take part in the walk, which includes a goody bag and bandana. You can register in advance or just turn up on the day.
Step out for Stroke Charity Walk – Sunday 12 June
A sponsored walk in aid of the Stroke Association. Entry fees are £5 for adults, which includes a Step out for Stroke t-shirt, water, a medal and regular team emails.
Chalfield Dog Show – Sunday 19 June
Chalfield Dog Training club will be holding their annual dog show on the Kite field. If you want to see the most beautiful and best behaved of man and woman’s best friends this is the place to be!
Sponsored Walk for Mouth Cancer – Saturday 30 July from 10am
A sponsored walk for adults (5km) and children (2.5km), to help raise awareness of mouth cancer. Fancy dress is optional – the charity’s colour is blue! There will also be stalls, cakes, a tombola, face painting and glitter tattoos. Please bring a picnic for after the walk.
