As summer approaches, many of us have a clear out of our kids’ winter things which no longer fit.
Local resident Dawn Martin is running a campaign on behalf of Operation Orphan to collect winter coats, hats, scarves and gloves to send to orphans and vulnerable children living in Moldova and war-torn Ukraine.
These children often face unbelievably low temperatures of -20?C, and your unwanted winter things can make a real difference in helping them to stay warm and healthy.
Please drop off any items at the Honeycomb on Church St, who are accepting the items for Dawn to collect, by 17 June.
