The Framework Knitters Museum is hosting their first “Knit your own Christmas” event across four dates in late November. Come along to hire out one of the museum’s antique knitting machine to create your very own festive gifts.
For a £15 entry fee, you’ll be given unlimited wool to make up to 15 substantial gifts including scarves, wreaths, hats and toys. Mince pies and mulled wine will be available, too.
No experience is needed and there’ll be plenty of ideas and demonstrations from the museum’s expert knitters to help you make some lovely homemade gifts.
Pictured above right are the results after just one workshop and finished off at home by a maker who doesn’t know how to knit and can hardly sew on a button – so it really is that easy!
To book your place, please email helen.brownett@frameworkknittersmmuseum.org.uk or call the museum on 0115 984 6914. Small groups are welcome.
