I’ve recently become the Co-op Member Pioneer for Ruddington and Clifton. This is a community based role connecting local colleagues and members, community organisers, groups and charities.
I’ve lived in Ruddington for 5 years and already feel part of the community through roles with the Friends of James Peacock and the Ruddington Mums Facebook page.
Since September 2016, Co-op has given more than £40 million to local causes across the UK through the Local Community Fund.
Co-op is recruiting 1,500 Member Pioneers across the country to make sure it’s delivering on its principle of supporting local communities and maximising the impact of this funding.
My main aims in the role will be:
- Helping the local community come together to save, build or improve indoor and outdoor spaces
- Supporting the mental and physical health of Ruddington and Clifton through wellbeing activities
- Helping people reach their full potential by developing their skills
