Ruddington is destined to be back on the national homebuyers’ radar soon after another visit from the popular Channel 4 property programme – presented by Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp.
Villagers were alerted to the filming of an episode of ‘Location, Location, Location’ here when cameras and crew appeared on The Green on 22nd March. The reality show, now in its 17th year, follows Phil and Kirstie trying to find the perfect home for a different set of buyers each week.
The house viewed in March was on Clifton Road and was marketed by Thomas James. The local estate agent posted on Facebook: ‘Channel 4’s Phil & Kirstie have confirmed that Ruddington really is the “Location, Location, Location” to be! (But we already know that!)’.
Julie Smith of The Black Cat Café told RUDDINGTON.info that the TV team had been in there for coffee earlier in the day. Kirstie was particularly impressed by the ‘Comic Relief Sweetie Cake’ on sale, which raised 50p for Red Nose Day for every slice sold.
After the house viewing, the final stop was due to be The Ruddington Arms to chat to the prospective buyers about what they thought. However, problems with the crew’s technical equipment meant they had to postpone until another day.
In the meantime, the crew returned to Ruddington on Friday 24th March to do some drone filming above Elms Park. Look out for the Ruddington filmed episode coming to Channel 4 soon!
