In Sept 1967, the James Peacock County Infants’ School opened in Manor Park. Any children under 5 at that time attended either a playgroup in the village or Ruddington Nursery, which was located on Clifton Road, near the junction with Wilford Road.
In September 1978, a Nursery was opened at the school and it was renamed the James Peacock Infant and Nursery School. For the last 40 years, it has provided pre-school education and is still as popular as ever. The Headteacher, Mr Waldron, extends the following message to parents and carers of children approaching their third birthday.
“Are you looking for nursery provision for September 2019? James Peacock can currently offer fully-funded provision, either mornings from 8.30am to 11.30am or afternoons from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. We can also offer an additional 15 hours as part of the 30 hours’ funded entitlement.”
For more information, please contact the school on 0115 914 4225.
