If you’re looking for some activities for the kids this Easter, as ever there’s plenty going on in the village.
Ruddington Fun is running a free drop-in session on Monday 10th April, with Little Wickets Cricket fun and games for kids, craft activities and a baby and toddler area. Pop along to the Jubilee Clubhouse on Loughborough Road between 10am and 12 noon if you’d like to join in. (Please note that all children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.)
Rushcliffe Country Park is running den building and a bunny hunt on Wednesday 5th April, Friday 7th April and Wednesday 12th April. This popular activity is £5 per child, including a chocolate treat, and needs booking in advance – visit www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/rushcliffecountrypark to find out more.
On Good Friday 14th April, the Framework Knitters Museum will be holding their annual Knitted Bunny Hunt from 11am to 4pm. Any child who can help the framework knitters find all their knitted bunnies will receive an Easter egg. There’ll also be Hot Cross Bun toasting on the cottage range, knitting demonstrations and fun activities for children. Entry is free for any child who arrives with a bunny or an Easter bonnet. GCRN are also joining in the Easter celebrations, with their Easter ‘Eggspress’ steam specials on Sunday 16th April and Monday 17th April, featuring an Easter Egg Hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny on the train. Visit www.gcrn.co.uk/events/2017-events for details.
