Peter Lyons-Lewis has recently been co-opted to the Parish Council and now represents Flawford Ward. We’d like to welcome Peter on board.
“I’ve lived in Ruddington since 2000 and previously served on the Parish Council for several years,” says Peter. “I worked in IT at a national scientific research laboratory since 1989, and have now taken early retirement. I’m active in Ruddington Action Group, as well as the local Labour group.
“As a Parish Councillor, I’m interested in the vitality of Ruddington and how as a community we can help to develop the facilities, shops and services to be successful and to thrive. I’m particularly keen to see better provision for cyclists and pedestrians, along with effective traffic calming across the village.
“Ruddington has a great record of developing leisure amenities, and I hope I’ll be able to contribute to the hard work going on already on the significant facility being planned on The Green/Leys Road.”
You can contact Peter through the Parish Council office.
There are still some vacancies on the Parish Council. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact the Parish Clerk, Claire Dorans, to find out more about the role.
