Mike Gaunt has recently been co-opted to the Parish Council and now represents Camelot Ward. Together with our other new councillors, who we’ll be introducing in future issues, we’d like to welcome Mike on board.
“I’m 43 years old, married with two children and work as a secondary school geography teacher,” says Mike. “As well as being a Parish Councillor, I’m also one of Ruddington’s Borough Councillors and have lived in the village for over 11 years.”
Mike adds: “I’m particularly interested in people living sustainably within their local community. I strive to live, work and shop locally wherever possible, as a way of supporting local services and living an eco-friendly life.
“I try to do this whilst trying to have a positive impact on the environment and the quality of life of other residents.”
You can contact Mike through the Parish Council office.
There are still some vacancies on the Parish Council. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact the Parish Clerk, Claire Dorans, to find out more about the role.
