Do you have any memories or photographs of Rushcliffe Country Park when the area housed a bomb-filling factory during the Second World War, or afterwards when it was used as an Ordnance Storage and Disposal Depot?
We’re currently extending the “Bombs to Butterflies” project using recordings of previous interviews and we’d like to hear from anyone who has any further information which might be relevant.
If you can help, please contact Jean Gray on 0115 921 4095 or June McConnell on 0115 998 7942.
Editor’s note: The original “Bombs to Butterflies” book by Margaret Lawson is available to borrow from Ruddington Library. You can also read or download a scanned copy at the Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park website.
