The front garden of Ruddington Methodist Church had been awarded a certificate of merit in the Notts Best Kept Village Competition 2013.
The judges commented that it was beautifully maintained and provided a cameo of both care and colour.
Councillor Peter McGowan, Chairman of the Parish Council, said “I am really pleased that the hard work of keeping up this garden has been recognised.”
In the main competition Ruddington has not been placed in the top four for Section A (larger villages) and so will not go on to the final round.
