In this, his tercentenary year, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown comes to Ruddington in the shape of Steffie Shields, who will give a talk at the Framework Knitters Museum on Tuesday 29th November at 2.30pm in the Chapel.
Steffie is a professional landscape garden photographer and ardent fan of the man who, in the 18th century, transformed over 250 landscapes including Chatsworth House, Burghley House, Blenheim Palace and Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey).
Signed copies of Steffie’s new book ‘Moving Heaven and Earth – Capability Brown’s Gift of Landscape’ will be available at the special price of £25.
