The first ever Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Walk in aid of Save the Children was held at Rushcliffe Country Park on 13th May 2017. We had no idea how many children (and parents) would turn up but in the event, over 200 children took part.
As well as the Muddy Puddle Walk (created for us by a Country Park volunteer after a very dry spring!), there was a children’s trail around the lake, a Peppa Pig-themed toy stall, a lucky dip and a café open all afternoon.
The event raised over £700 for Save the Children. Most importantly, the children had a wonderful time and there were some very muddy little people seen around the park!
This year, we’re running the Muddy Puddle Walk on Saturday 28th April from 2pm to 5pm, and hope to make the event even bigger and better than last year. The formula will be the same and we’ll be running the café again. There’s no charge for entry although donations are very welcome. All children completing the Walk will receive a certificate and sticker.
There’s no need to register in advance; just come to the Education Centre on the day and join in the fun. (Please make sure children are suitably dressed and bring wellies!)
