A new after school club is opening in Ruddington this month. School’s Out, run by Liz Wright, is already a successful holiday club, and Liz has decided to extend this due to popular demand.
The Ofsted-registered club will run from a secure area at the Body Centre on the Village Green, and is open to children from James Peacock and St Peter’s, with collections available from both schools.
Sessions run until 6pm and cost £8.50 per child. The care will be offered in a play-centred environment, with both indoor and outdoor activities on offer. A light tea is included.
“When I set up the holiday club I received lots of thanks from parents grateful to have the service in the village,” says Liz. “I did some research into the demand for an after-school club. While both schools do offer this provision it is limited while the village population is growing, so there was plenty of scope for School’s Out to set one up, too.
“I’d like to say thank you to Project Body, who have been hugely supportive of this venture.”
Booking for the club can be done on an ad hoc basis, ideally with 24 hours’ notice. For those needing set days, these can be booked up to a week in advance.
